The city and Orange County have agreed to continue La Palma’s participation in the Mortgage Credit Certificate Program. The council approved the move at last week’s meeting.

The program, which began in 1993, is designed to help first-time home buyers by giving them a tax credit. The program also allows the city to provide housing opportunities to residents with varying income levels.
