The Real Beer Page at first seems like one of those signboards listing a bar’s zillion kinds of beers. There’s so much about beer that you don’t know what to try first. There’s Beer News (“Plastic bottles rolled out by Miller!”). The Beer Library, drawing from stories written just for the Web site or from online beer ‘zines and print beer publications. And beer humor (“A guy walks into a bar. . . .”).

Use the site to find local brewpubs by area code or city. Use the beer mall to find everything from home brewing equipment to collectibles from your favorite beer. Follow the links to other beer sites, such as the one from beer guru Michael Jackson or to beer-of-the-month clubs.

Even if you know what you’re looking for, you’d better nurse the beer recommended by site administrator Ace Baldwin as you navigate your way through. Using the search function for “green beer,” we were presented with a list of more than 6,000 hits.
