More Funds Held by Dead Official Found
From Times Wire Reports
Mexican authorities said they have found another safe deposit box--containing $425,000--belonging to an official who apparently killed himself. The discovery brings to more than $1.5 million the sum recovered from deposit boxes held by Juan Manuel Izabal Villicana, an official in the attorney general’s office. He was found dead March 8, a day after his bank said it was reporting the $700,000 it discovered. Officials later found $422,500 more.
