LAKE FOREST
The City Council will discuss on Tuesday how to spend $424,000 in federal money to help homeless and low-income residents with housing costs.
The city expects to receive the grant for the 2000-01 fiscal year under the federal Community Development Block Grant program, which has given almost $2.5 million to the city since 1994.
The council could approve a plan to spend most of the money to fix walls along Rockfield Boulevard, provide housing to families in danger of becoming homeless and give small loans to low-income residents who own businesses.
The council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lake Forest City Hall, 23161 Lake Center Drive.
