THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG

The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Monday:

ANAHEIM

* Ball Road: A narcotics violation was reported on the 9800 block at 7:35 p.m. Sunday.

COSTA MESA

* Bristol Street: A purse and its contents worth $175 were stolen from a car in the 3300 block on Sunday.

CYPRESS

* Chestnut Street: A suspicious person was reported in the 10700 block at 12:42 a.m. Saturday.

* Walker Street: A suspicious person was reported in the 8800 block at 3:16 a.m. Saturday.

* Ball Road: An auto theft was reported in the 4000 block at 8:32 p.m. Saturday.

DANA POINT

* Blue Fin Drive: A man reported that someone had vandalized his trash cans in the 33000 block at 8:40 a.m. Friday. The incident reportedly occurred overnight.

GARDEN GROVE

* Brookhurst Street at Orangewood Avenue: Police arrested a Chino man and a Garden Grove juvenile on suspicion of armed robbery at 11:27 p.m. Thursday. A woman was confronted by the suspects who were armed with knives and demanded money. The two fled on foot after being taking $40 and the woman returned home and called police who found the suspects 15 minutes later.

IRVINE

* Antietam: A loud-party notice was issued in the 15 block at 10:20 p.m. Saturday.

* Jamboree Road: A 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing dangerous drugs in the 13000 block at 5:05 p.m. Sunday.

LAGUNA HILLS

* Barents Street: A briefcase containing a wallet and business paperwork was reported stolen from a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am in the 25000 block at 7:20 a.m. Saturday. Deputies said a window was smashed.

NEWPORT BEACH

* West Coast Highway: A car stereo worth $100 was stolen in the 1800 block during the evening on Friday.

ORANGE

* Palm Avenue: A petty theft was reported in the 8000 block at 12:47 p.m. Saturday.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO

* Calle Arroyo: Deputies took three teenage boys into custody after finding them joy-riding in a stolen golf cart near Paseo Tirador at 4:55 p.m. Friday. The deputies chased the suspects down after they fled into the San Juan Creek bed. The teens were released to their parents.

SANTA ANA

* Kootenay Drive: A report of vandalism in the 13100 block at 8:10 a.m. on Sunday.

* Santa Ana Avenue: A report of a burglary in the 20400 block at 9:47 a.m. on Sunday.

STANTON

* Date Street: A narcotics violation was reported on the 10800 block of Date Street at 12:10 p.m. Monday.

TUSTIN

* Newport Avenue: A suspicious person was reported in the 12000 block at 12:02 a.m. Saturday.

* Impala Drive: A vandalism was reported in the 18000 block at 7:09 a.m. Saturday.

VILLA PARK

* Catherine Circle: Vandalism was reported in the 18000 block at 11:09 p.m. Friday.

* Orchard Lane: A burglar alarm was triggered in the 9000 block at 12:29 p.m. Saturday.

* Smoketree Circle: A burglar was reported in the 18000 block at 3:19 p.m. Saturday.

WESTMINSTER

* Beach Boulevard: A warrant arrest was made in the 15400 block at 10:18 a.m. Sunday.

* Beach Boulevard: A warrant arrest was made in the 15400 block at 8:33 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports: Brea, Buena Park, Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, La Habra, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Placentia, Seal Beach, and Yorba Linda.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department makes incident reports available on the Web. Go to https://www.ocsd.org and click on “Sheriff’s Blotter.” Incident reports are updated every few minutes and cover the cities of Dana Point, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Stanton and Villa Park, as well as the county’s unincorporated areas.
