Interfaith Youth Conference Scheduled at Chapman University

The National Conference for Community and Justice will hold an interfaith youth conference from noon to 6 p.m. on April 2 at Chapman University in Orange.

The conference has been organized by 25 Orange County young people in conjunction with the local chapter of the interfaith group. Organizers hope to bring together more than 800 high school and college students who will represent more than 15 faiths.

The day will feature workshops and a keynote address to be delivered by Peter Vidmar, an Olympic gold medal winner in gymnastics.

Among the workshops will be “Religion in the Movies,” “Finding God in Yourself,” and “Anti-Semitism and Religious Prejudice Today.” The conference is free and open to the public.
