Praise for Superintendent

I wish to commend Assemblywoman Hannah-Beth Jackson (D-Santa Barbara) and Assemblyman Tony Strickland (R-Thousand Oaks) for their selection of Yolanda M. Benitez as Woman of the Year. Their selection is well though out.

Benitez, during her term as superintendent, has highlighted the Rio Elementary School District but her heart and hands have reached out to the entire county community.

She has fought for the betterment of us all on a variety of issues. Call some of the city fathers in our community and they will tell you of her efforts.

Benitez’s fight is a fight against oppression for all. She deserves a “thank you” for her support of children, the needy and the voiceless and elderly in our community.
