2nd Cult Grave May Have Been Located
Ugandan police investigating the deaths of doomsday cult followers found what they think is another grave linked to the Movement for the Restoration of the Ten Commandments of God. On Friday, police found 153 bodies at a mass burial site. Officials also speculated that cult leaders were behind the March 17 deaths of as many as 530 sect members in a fire, initially viewed as a mass suicide. Officials now think Keredonia Mwerinde, 49, and Joseph Kibwetere, 68, may have set the blaze. The two reportedly worried that followers would want their surrendered belongings returned because the world did not end Dec. 31 as cult leaders predicted.
