From Times Wire Reports

Two planes from the Thunderbirds, the Air Force demonstration squadron, broke formation and flew too close to a commercial jetliner above Washington, the Federal Aviation Administration said. The FAA filed a pilot deviation, the aviation equivalent of a traffic ticket, against the group for the incident near Dulles International Airport. Officials said that one Thunderbird passed within 700 feet of an American Airlines jet, and another plane passed within about 100 feet of a private plane.
