Newport Software Company, Versifi, Teams With AVS

Versifi Inc., a young Internet software company in Newport Beach, said Monday that it is partnering with AVS Systems Inc., a New York-based provider of information technology services.

Versifi said AVS, a decade-old company that develops software and consults with various firms, will incorporate Versifi’s solutions into its electronic business offerings. The companies did not disclose terms of the partnership. Versifi was incorporated in April 1999. It was founded by Sushil Garg, who is chairman and chief executive officer.
