Conexant Systems Picks New Senior VP

Brad Yates has been named senior vice president of human resources for Conexant Systems Inc. in Newport Beach. Yates succeeds Bill Tipton, who recently retired. Yates was previously vice president of human resources at Siebel Systems Inc., and vice president of human resources at AT&T; Wireless Services.

* Ricardo Antuna has been appointed director of product marketing for Versifi Inc. in Newport Beach. Before joining the company, Antuna was director of marketing for StarBase Corp.

* Jim McGrory has been named director, franchise design and construction for CKE Restaurants Inc. in Anaheim. McGrory has been manager of franchise construction. Before joining CKE in 1998, McGrory was a construction manager with AFC Enterprises, parent company of Popeye’s Chicken & Biscuits and Church’s Chicken, for six years and Winchell’s Donut House for four years. Thomas Olsson was appointed director, franchise real estate, and Barbarann Parkhill is the new director, payroll. Olsson was promoted from senior real estate manager. He started with CKE in 1996 as a franchise real estate manager. Before joining the company, he was with AFC Enterprises as a real estate director for nine years and Saga Corp./Marriott Corp. as a real estate manager for three years. Before joining CKE, Parkhill was with Bally’s Health & Tennis and TicketMaster.

* Donald M. Bainum is the new branch manager of General Employment Enterprises Inc.’s Irvine office. Bainum had originally joined the company in 1997 as a technical recruiter before leaving to pursue other business interests.
