Right of Unborn

* Re “New Option for Women,” editorial, Sept. 29: Contrary to popular opinion, the issue of abortion rights has never been about privacy. The whole privacy issue is a red herring. The real issue is the right of the unborn to live versus the right of a parent to deny that life. Let’s at least be honest: Abortion is the denial of life to a human being who has no other way to defend himself or herself.

I find it interesting that the liberal-minded claim to give a voice to the poor and downtrodden grows strangely silent when those who need a voice the most, the unborn, are in danger. May God have mercy on us.
