** Cherry Poppin’ Daddies, “Soul Caddy,” Mojo. The Daddies swing yet again on their fourth full album (in stores Tuesday), but far further and wider than the band can handle. Along with its familiar retro big-band swing, there’s B-52’s-metal ska, punk, lounge jazz and psychedelic grunge. Give them points for variety, as well as for honesty when they sing “Where am I going? / It don’t matter to me” in “Grand Mal,” but it’s worth remembering that in music as in seafaring, direction is a good thing.
