Future Looking Good for Seniors

Re “Supervisors Host Conference on Challenges Faced by Aging” (Sept. 29):

Since The Times was a major sponsor of this growing event, I was disappointed that your reporter did not cover all the speakers. You failed to report on the presentation by Dr. Vern Bengston, USC professor at the Leonard Davis School of Gerontology. His topic, “Five Big Myths about Aging” was excellent. He took five myths and presented them in a positive manner with supportive detail. I would encourage a follow-up article on these five myths to encourage your aging readership that the future looks great.
