MRV Files for IPO for Optical Access

MRV Communications Inc. in Chatsworth announced it has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for the initial public offering of the common stock of its wholly owned subsidiary, Optical Access Inc.

Bear Sterns will lead the underwriting group, with CIBC World Markets, U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray and First Security Van Kasper serving as the co-managers.

Optical Access designs, manufactures and markets optical wireless technology that delivers high-speed communications traffic on the portion of a communications network commonly known as the last mile, from the end user to the provider’s central office.
