The charismatic Irish American fiddler Eileen Ivers, perhaps best-known for her work with the hit Irish musical “Riverdance,” will bring her band to the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Friday. Her work with groups such as Hall & Oates and the Celtic/hip-hop/rap group Paddy A Go Go, and on her own albums, “Wild Blue” (Green Linnet) and “Crossing the Bridge” (Sony Classical), has often found her in the midst of a caldron of instrumentation.

* Eileen Ivers, Friday, 8 p.m., Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Kavli Theatre, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. $17.50-$35. 449-2787.

The comic opera is based on the Harold Brighthouse play of the same title and is being presented through the resources of the college’s Opera Workshop, directed by Linda Ottsen.
