Bloody Clouds Represent Emotional Issues

Share
SPECIAL TO THE TIMES

Most of my dreams come true, and I am puzzled by this one. I had this dream that I was in a hotel or apartment building looking up at the sky and saw these big beautiful white clouds. All of a sudden, the clouds had blood running down the side of them and then the blood connected together and filled the clouds completely. The clouds were no longer white but red.

I said to myself--this is it, the end of the world. Next, I noticed I was outside walking by Oprah, but she didn’t notice the clouds. However, other people were looking up at the sky staring, and they had noticed.

Dear Rachel: You begin from a hotel or an apartment building, which could indicate a temporary situation. White clouds are associated with happy days, while dark clouds are often used by movie-makers and in our dreamscapes to indicate a more ominous feeling. White is associated with purity, innocence and protection. Blood is the life force. Red is the natural color of blood and is also associated with passion, sexuality, courage and energy.

You observe the change in the sky and judge it to indicate the end of the world. When you notice Oprah--a woman associated with major success, money and, more recently, spirituality--she doesn’t notice the bloody clouds at all, but others do.

Your dream is an illustration of quantum physics. Physicists have found compelling evidence that the only time electrons and other tiny units manifest as particles is when we are looking for them.

Neuro-psychologist Paul Pearsall refers to this phenomenon as the theory of “observer participancy.” In essence, what we discover is profoundly affected by what we are looking for. He states: “In choosing a world view, we actually create the world that we experience.”

Oprah represents someone without a frame of reference for the end of the world. Clouds heavy with fluid are, of course, associated with rain, and rain--in the language of dreams--can represent emotion, sadness and a spiritual cleansing. You can be Oprah. Whatever emotional experience you are going through at this time does not have to be the end of your world.
