From Bloomberg News

Ford Motor Co. said it recalled all 351,000 Focus cars in North America to install stronger panels that help hold the windshield in place and to check for rear-wheel and cruise-control problems in some vehicles.

No accidents have been reported as a result of the problems, the company said. Of the cars, 260,390 are being recalled because of 15 reports that the rear-wheel and brake-drum assemblies separated from vehicles when a retaining nut loosened. The assemblies will be checked and replaced if needed.

Ford also is notifying owners of 33,225 Focuses to have the cruise-control cable inspected. There have been 12 reports of the throttle sticking after it has been wide open, the company said.
