Meet the Beatles

Share

Fans of the Beatles get a rare double dose of free chatter from the lads this week, as Paul McCartney presents his paintings on Yahoo and John Lennon sounds off--on tape--at https://www.rollingstone.com. McCartney’s “artcast” is a 40-minute video of Sir Paul showing and talking about his paintings, followed by a live question-and-answer session. The broadcast is scheduled for 8:15 a.m. today at https://chat.yahoo.com, but tardy readers will be able to find replays and transcripts at https://mccartney.yahoo.com for the next two weeks. Meanwhile, Rolling Stone magazine has opened its vaults for 40 minutes of taped conversation with Lennon in 1970, not long after McCartney announced the Beatles were kaput. Released to commemorate RollingStone.com’s new contract with iBeam Broadcasting Corp., a specialist in audio and video distribution, the Lennon excerpts will be available for about two weeks.
