Greek Jets Blocked From NATO Exercise

Turkish jets blocked Greek warplanes from participating in a NATO exercise, and Turkey warned of “undesired results” if Greece persisted on flying over two Aegean islands, Lemnos and Ikaria. Greece’s Defense Ministry asked NATO to cut short the seven-nation exercise in Turkey after two Greek A-7 Corsair jets were forced to return to base. Tensions have been escalating for days between the two neighbors, who are at odds over military boundaries in the Aegean Sea.
