Yasian.com of Simi Valley Picked for Investor Forum

The California Venture Forum has selected Yasian.com of Simi Valley as one of 14 firms whose founders will showcase their products before an audience of potential investors at the 13th Semi-Annual Investor Forum on Nov. 29 at California State University, Fullerton.

Since 1994, the California Venture Forum has hosted a venue for start-up and emerging companies to meet potential investors, with the last nine forums enabling companies to raise more than $80 million in investment money.

Yasian.com was founded to meet the education, employment and entertainment needs of Asian youth, who are linked globally through online and offline interactions.

Officials with the forum, which is based in Yorba Linda, said the 14 winners span an array of fields and technologies. Of the firms that submitted winning business plans, five are based in Orange County and five in Los Angeles County, two are from the Bay Area and one is from the state of Washington.

A nonprofit corporation, the California Venture Forum hosts investment conferences twice annually. Several businesses and government agencies help sponsor the event.
