Man Accused of Making Terrorist Threats to Girlfriend
Police arrested a local man Wednesday on a charge of making terrorist threats to his girlfriend at her home in the 5200 block of Baltimore Street. No one was injured, police said.
Shortly before 7 a.m., the victim, whose name was being withheld, called police to report that her live-in boyfriend, Robert Ojeda, 38, had a gun and was threatening to kill her, said Lt. Debra Kirk of the LAPD’s Northeast Division.

High school--An Oct. 26 story mistakenly reported that students at Roosevelt High School were kept indoors while police searched a nearby house and arrested a man for allegedly threatening his girlfriend. The school was actually Franklin High School in Highland Park.
Police responded and requested SWAT assistance because they thought Ojeda was armed and in the house. But when SWAT officers arrived Ojeda had already fled.
A search of the house turned up hand grenade shells and fireworks, and the bomb squad was called out, Kirk said. No guns were found in the house.
During the search, nearby residents were evacuated. About 50 students and residents were kept indoors on the nearby campus of Roosevelt High School for a few hours until police determined that the area was safe, Kirk said.
Police later found Ojeda at his parents’ house, a few blocks from the victim’s home, and he surrendered peacefully.
Ojeda was awaiting arraignment at Parker Center, LAPD headquarters.
