Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, who plans to step down from the software giant’s board next week, filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission to sell 15 million shares of company stock with a market value of $935.4 million, an SEC filing showed Monday.

The Oct. 23 filing doesn’t indicate whether the shares, which Allen acquired in June 1981 as founders’ stock, have been sold yet. Microsoft shares closed up $1.38 at $69.06 on Nasdaq.
