Schader Takes VP Post at MBK Homes

George Schader has been named vice president of land acquisition at MBK Homes Ltd. in Irvine, a division of MBK Real Estate Ltd. He had been vice president, land acquisition for Richmond American Homes of California. Schader has also held similar positions at the Presley Co., Larwin Co. and Carlan Homes.

* Tracy MacDonald and Rob Ragland Jr. have been named project directors at the construction firm of McCarthy in Newport Beach. MacDonald, who has been with McCarthy since 1987, was most recently senior project manager at the Disneyland Resort parking structure project in Anaheim. Ragland joins the company with 17 years of construction and project design experience.

* K. Gene Aalseth has been appointed vice president and director of exchange company operations for First American Title Insurance Co. in Santa Ana and president of its wholly owned subsidiary, First American Exchange Corp. Aalseth joined the San Jose office of First American’s subsidiary, First American Title Guaranty Co., in 1983 as chief title officer, then later served as title counsel. He moved to First American Title’s corporate headquarters in 1994 to become associate senior underwriter, and in 1998 was named project director for First American’s Year 2000 compliance program.

* John Loftus has been named head of domestic marketing for Pacific Investment Management Co. in Newport Beach. He will retain his role as head of Pimco product management. The domestic marketing responsibilities were previously managed by Brent Harris, who was named co-head of Pimco’s global division, Pimco Global Advisors, in July.

* Scott Bennett has been appointed vice president, Western regional sales for Nth Degree in Anaheim, an events management company. He was formerly director, business development for the Western region.

* Darryl L. King has been named a project manager at the Irvine office of mapping firm Hammon, Jensen & Wallen. He most recently served as code enforcement and planning assistant for the city of Ada, Okla., and was a member of East Central University’s cartography department.
