From Times Wire Reports

Unidentified gunmen wounded three people in a beauty salon in India’s Jammu and Kashmir state, 24 hours after a militant group reportedly warned women that they would be shot if they did not wear veils in public. But the group said to be behind the warning, Lashkar-e-Taiba, denied issuing any such threat. Witnesses said the assailants stormed into the salon in the Gonikhan marketplace in Srinagar, the state’s summer capital, and opened fire. Two women and the male owner of the salon were wounded, police said. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
