Care for Poor

* Re “Disease, Care Costs Afflict Poor,” Aug. 29.

America is spending billions in foreign aid every year, yet neglects its own people in poverty to a great extent, especially the children, the future of America. What a shame for this rich country. I read once in an article, “Appeal to Humanity”: “No one is free as long as there is injustice, poverty and lack of medical treatment.” Therefore, do not ask for whom the conscience tolls, it tolls for thee.
