Tanya Harding and Brooke Wilkins combined on a no-hitter Monday and Harding also homered as Australia beat Italy, 7-0.

It was the second no-hitter in two days at the Olympic Center in Blacktown, and the third no-hitter in the sport’s brief Olympic history.

Lori Harrigan of the United States no-hit Canada on Sunday, the only solo no-hitter in the Olympics. Two Chinese pitchers combined on a no-hitter in 1996, when softball made its debut as an Olympic sport.

Harding, who played for UCLA, struck out 11 and walked two in five innings before Wilkins struck out five and walked one.
