Midwest regional bank KeyCorp said it would cut 2,300 jobs, or about 10% of its work force, and take $198 million in charges in the final phase of a sweeping restructuring aimed at boosting flagging profits. The Cleveland-based bank, which has about $85 billion in assets, is the latest U.S. regional bank to cut staff in an effort to save money and spur lackluster revenue growth after a string of U.S. interest rate increases.
