In stating that Brian Dennehy realized that he “would be following in the footsteps of Lee J. Cobb, George C. Scott and Dustin Hoffman” (“Attention Is Being Paid,” Sept. 17), Barbara Isenberg paid no heed to the merits of the late Fredric March, who played Willy Loman in the early ‘50s film version of “Death of a Salesman.”

To me, March was the quintessential Willy Loman. Attention should have been paid.
