Litronic Inc., an Irvine seller of Internet security products, said Thursday that its president and chief operating officer, William Davis, has resigned for personal reasons.

Litronic said in a press release that Davis, who for the last year headed operations at the company’s Pulsar Data Systems unit, will continue as an advisor.

Davis was the owner and founder of Pulsar before its 1999 merger with Litronic. His duties at Pulsar will be shared among several executives while a replacement is sought.

Separately, Litronic also said Pulsar received an $8.25-million order from the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service for an unspecified number of Dell computer systems.
