Academic Expectations

* Brava and kudos to Sithara Khep for her perspicacity in “Apply Great Expectations to All” (Voices, March 31). Two key sentences jump off the page: “Kids respond to the level of expectation that is set for them” and “Don’t lower the bar on college admissions; raise the bar on student expectations.” She says it all. Stop making excuses for low achievers and whiners.
