Odetics Unit Sells Two Lines to Canadian Firm

Odetics Inc.’s Gyyr unit said Wednesday it has sold the intellectual property and assets of its dome video and controller product lines to a Canadian company for about $1.3 million.

Gyyr said in a press release that it sold its Vortex Dome and Quarterback Controller lines to Silent Witness Enterprises Ltd., a video monitoring technology company in Surrey, British Columbia.

Gyyr said the sale allows it to focus on developing systems in the areas of network-based digital storage and remote video products.

Odetics stock lost 22 cents Wednesday to close at $2.98 a share on Nasdaq.
