Wake-Up Call

* The lighted dial on my night stand clock radio read 7 a.m. as the phone rang in the darkened bedroom. A family disaster, I feared, as I groped half-asleep for the telephone. Mayor Richard Riordan urged me in his wide-awake recorded voice to vote for Rocky somebody [Delgadillo, candidate for city attorney] in the June runoff election. Guess what, Rocky!
