Post-Blast Gunfire in Kashmir Kills Infant
From Times Wire Reports
Police reacting to a land mine explosion opened fire on a civilian bus in Kashmir, killing a 2-month-old boy and wounding several other people, passengers said. Police claimed that the bus was caught in the cross-fire when officers fired at guerrillas.
Two officers died of injuries suffered in the blast alongside a road about 50 miles south of Srinagar, the summer capital of the violence-plagued Jammu and Kashmir state in northern India.
