Many Prospective Parents Are Missing the Point

“Ethical Questions Arise as Parents Screen Out Embryos” (July 30) convinced me even more that the majority of parents these days who use science to produce offspring are not concerned parents who desperately want to save their future children from suffering. In reality, they are narcissistic human beings who are deluded that their DNA is so worthy of reproduction that they are willing to spend thousands of dollars to produce a golden child, deliberately ignoring the scores of children who are as desperate for a loving home as they are to have a child.
