From Times Wire Reports

An 18-year-old Maryland man was sentenced to six months in jail for sending threatening messages to two Santee students after the March 5 shooting at Santana High School that left two dead and 13 wounded.

Patrick Andrew Smith pleaded guilty to two counts and apologized for his “cruel and insensitive” actions. He will also serve three years’ probation and have his computer use monitored.

Judge Judith Hayes banned Smith from chat rooms where teenagers often exchange messages.

Smith had sent messages threatening to “finish what Andy Williams started,” a reference to the accused gunman.
