From Times Wire Reports

Two Colombians accused of aiding one of Mexico’s most powerful drug-smuggling organizations have been extradited to the U.S.

Gino Brunetti and Rafael Antonio Parada Ortiz were transferred voluntarily Sunday to avoid the lengthy legal process that follows an official extradition request, Mexico’s attorney general’s office said.

Brunetti is accused of working as a top liaison between Mexico’s Arellano Felix drug organization and drug producers in Colombia, streamlining the movement of tons of cocaine through Mexico to the U.S. Parada also is accused of working with the Arellano Felix group but in a lesser capacity, the attorney general’s office said.
