From Times Wire Reports

A Midwest Express flight attendant has filed a lawsuit in Milwaukee claiming the airline improperly suspended her for protesting a requirement that flight attendants check for bombs on airplanes.

Susan B. Stein, president of the Assn. of Flight Attendants Master Executive Council for Midwest Express flight attendants, asked a judge to rescind her 45-day suspension and award back pay and benefits. Stein and the union also seek to bar the airline from disciplining employees for exercising rights granted under federal labor law.

Midwest Express suspended Stein without pay in October. Stein also claims the airline threatened to discipline her for any future behavior they find unprofessional.
