Smith Micro Posts Fourth-Quarter Loss

Smith Micro Software Inc., an Aliso Viejo software developer, reported a fourth-quarter net loss of $989,000, or 6 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $980,000, or 6 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue advanced 64% to $4.1 million. For the year, the company lost $3.2 million, or 20 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $6.1 million, or 40 cents a share, for 1999. Revenue increased 28% to $13.7 million.
