Capstone Turbine Shows Net Loss for 4th Quarter

Capstone Turbine Corp. of Chatsworth reported a net loss for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31 of $6.4 million, compared with a net loss of $432.1 million for the same quarter in 1999. Revenue rose to $7.1 million from $5.4 million.

For the year, the company reported a net loss of $591.3 million, compared with a net loss of $56.2 million. Revenue increased to $23.2 million from $6.7 million.

Capstone produces low-emission microturbine systems for a variety of applications, including hybrid electric vehicles.
