* Los Angeles Commission on Assaults Against Women, which provides counseling, support groups and a 24-hour hotline for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse and stalking, offers 65 hours of training for crisis-intervention counselors Feb. 21 through April 11 on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays, and 50 hours of training for violence prevention specialists starting Feb. 22 and running on Saturdays, to teach volunteers how to educate the community about violence prevention.
