Birth of a Grandson

* Al Martinez’s message (Feb. 11) to his new grandson, Joshua, is the wisest and most memorable contribution in The Times that I have read during the more than 60 years I have been a subscriber. Shakespeare would have worded it differently, but not more meaningfully or effectively.
