Vocational Learning

* My 32 years of teaching wood shop have shown me that the common belief that a person who is not intelligent enough to do well academically is therefore able to do well vocationally is wrong (letter, Feb. 10). There is a relationship between intelligence and the ability to do well working with your hands; it is just directed differently. You wouldn’t want a “dumbo” repairing your automobile engine.
