* PEPPERDINE (17-6, 9-1) at PORTLAND (10-13, 3-7), 7--Pepperdine has won 11 of its last 12 games, including seven in a row on the road. The Waves’ only loss since December was 93-79 to West Coast Conference-leading Gonzaga, which plays host to second-place Pepperdine Saturday. Wave junior guard Brandon Armstrong is averaging a conference-best 21.7 points. Pepperdine defeated Portland, 76-60, on Feb. 3 in Malibu behind Armstrong’s 17 points. Portland, which has lost six of its last seven games, is led by sophomore center Tim Frost, who averages 14.3 points and 6.7 rebounds.
