From Times Wire Reports

An appeals court upheld the deportation of a member of a Nazi-sponsored Lithuanian battalion blamed for the murder of 19,000 Jews during World War II, the Justice Department said.

The U.S. Court of Appeals agreed with a decision by the U.S. Board of Immigration Appeals to deport Juozas Naujalis, an ailing, 81-year-old Chicago-area man, because of his service in the infamous 2nd Lithuanian Schutzmannschaft Battalion.

Naujalis had not yet decided whether to appeal.
