Al-Wazir: Wizard With the Hen Set

The next time you’re driving along Glendale Avenue in Glendale, keep an eye out for Chicken Al-Wazir. This small Armenian restaurant produces excellent rotisserie-grilled chicken. Seasoned with olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper and paprika, the chicken comes with garlic sauce, rice, salad, assorted pickled vegetables and two pita breads. It’s a big package of food, enough for a meal for two. Or you can skip the trimmings and buy a whole or half chicken and add your own accompaniments.
