New Delhi to Extend Kashmir Cease-Fire
From Times Wire Reports
India decided to extend its unilateral cease-fire in Kashmir, but Pakistan and hard-line guerrillas snubbed the decision even before details of the extension were out.
India’s decision came as Pakistan announced that President Bush had written to military ruler Gen. Pervez Musharraf calling for dialogue between the South Asian rivals.
Domestic Indian news agencies reported that the latest extension was likely to be for more than a month.
