Census 2000

* With his revocation of the Census Bureau’s authority to adjust the 2000 data, George W. Bush is acting consistently (“Census Bureau Is Losing Authority to Adjust the 2000 Count,” Feb. 17). He didn’t want to know the actual number of votes in Florida, and he doesn’t want to know the actual number of people in the U.S.
