Huntway Refining Posts Gain in Net Earnings

Huntway Refining Co. of Newhall reported net earnings of $4.1 million for the fourth quarter that ended Dec. 31, compared with $937,000 for the same quarter the previous year. Revenue rose to $56 million from $34.4 million.
For the year just ended, the company reported net earnings of $9.1 million, compared with $3.7 million. Revenue rose to $193.3 million over $111.2 million.
Huntway owns and operates refineries in Wilmington and Benecia that primarily produce liquid asphalt for use in road construction.
