EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Executing Oklahoma City bomber Timothy J. McVeigh would amount to honoring a suicide request, Chicago’s Roman Catholic cardinal said Monday. McVeigh, 32, awaits execution in nearby Terre Haute, Ind., for detonating the April 1995 bombing.
